Key takeaways

  • High pressure can contribute to leaking faucets and damaged pipes.

Video transcript

High water pressure can cause multiple issues in your home: leaky faucets, burst pipes, an abundance of issues. The best way to take care of the issue, basically, is to regulate that pressure using a PRV, also known as a pressure-reducing valve.

A PRV is a pressure-reducing valve that regulates that incoming street pressure. Incoming street pressure can be between 100 and 120 PSI, and that PRV will bring you down to 65, 75, which is the perfect level for a home.

Bio-Clean and a hair catcher. Bio-Clean is a natural enzyme that clears out drain waste, and the hair catcher just prevents hair from getting clogged in your drain lines.

Before you act

Pressure figures are examples discussed in the recording, not a measurement of your home or instructions to adjust a valve. Have the system tested before choosing a setting or repair.
